Volunteer Recognition Dinner

On November 4, 2015, the Volunteer Recognition Dinner was held to thank the over 200 volunteers who who contributed many hours towards the Italian American Festival. 80% of festival proceeds are given back into the community which includes the 10 scholarships that were presented during the festival. Donations are made to St. Anthony’s School and The Interval Brotherhood Home  as well as the following local charities:

BH Reach Program          Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors
Rolling Thunder               United Disability Services and Steel Academy


Sons of Italy Raffle

Sons of Italy Akron Lodge #685 is raffling off a 40″ flat screen HD TV.  The proceeds will be used to purchase Christmas toys to benefit homeless and needy children of Summit County.   The drawing was held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 7:15 p,m,  Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket.  With your support, homeless children in the Akron area will have a brighter Christmas.    Kathy Conti was the lucky winner of the TV.  Congratulations Kathy!

Carovillese Club Pasta Dinner

Join us every Tuesday from 4 to 7:30 pm at the Carovillese Club at 570 E Cuyahoga Falls Ave in Akron for homemade pasta.  The meal includes pasta with meatballs and homemade sauce, salad, bread and butter, and spumoni for dessert.  Prices range from $6.00 to $8.25. Italian-American Festival

We hope you enjoyed for festival this year.  Thank you to our vendors who provided the crowds with delicious food and refreshments, our Festival sponsors, our volunteers who worked many hours to make our festival a success and also to the thousands of people young and old who came to eat, drink and be merry.   Thanks to everyone for making the Original Italian American Festival the number one Festival in Summit County.  Don’t forget to vote for us in the Beacon’s Best contest.  See you in 2016!  The dates are July 7, 8 and 9, 2016
