Italian-American Festival

Join us Thursday July 9 thru Saturday July 11, 2015 at Lock 3 Park, Downtown Akron for the 68th Annual Summit County Italian American Festival sponsored by Council of Italian American Societies of Summit County and the City of Akron


This year’s raffle prizes includes a 1st prize of $2500.00,  2nd prize of $500.00, 3rd prize of $250.00 and 4th prize of $100.00.  Tickets are $1.00 each or a book of 6 for $5.00.  Proceeds from the raffle enable us to award scholarships every year to college students of Italian descent.  Tickets are available from any Council member.   Tickets will be sold at the festival in front of the Civic Theatre and also in Lock 3


About us

We’re an organization of 14 Italian-American Societies founded in Akron on November 10, 1947.

Our festival was voted the best festival from 2009 thru 2014 in the Beacon’s Best contest.

We are offering a unique opportunity to promote your business or organization through advertisements inside our festival book. This book will be distributed to every festival attendee for free and will be seen by approximately 50,000 attendees (based on last year’s numbers). Become a Vendor

Become a part of the 68th Annual Italian American Festival. Our Festival is sponsored by the Council of Italian American Societies of Summit County, and the City of Akron, Ohio. We have been voted the best festival in Summit County for five consecutive years, with over 50,000 people attending last year’s Festival. Deadline for all payments and applications is Monday, June 1, 2015.

The Constitution of the Council of Italian-American Societies of Summit County allows for the award of Scholarship money to students of Italian descent pursuing a higher education.
